A native of Columbia SC, Corey McClerklin graduated from Dreher High School. During his10th grade year, he had the liberty of taking multiple trades at Heyward Career Center. During this period, Corey excelled through a program called Career Search. He was introduced to different trades that included: Auto Mechanics, Auto Body, Graphic Designs, Wood Working, Computer Technology and Basic Electricity. He then developed a passion for electricity. This laid a firm foundation for becoming a Master Electrician. He furthered his knowledge by attending Midlands Technical College and by the age of twenty-one, his first business cards were printed. He continued his education and developed his craft.  At the age of twenty-three, he obtained his Journeyman Electrical License. He added to this pedigree by obtaining his Master Electrical license by the age of thirty-six. Corey continued building his company, slowly, while working for many Electrical companies in Columbia, SC.  This included a fifteen-year stint at CMC Steel where he began as an Electrician B and left as a Lead-man. CMC taught Corey a great deal about the business side of electricity and provided him supervisor experience. In 2017, he elected to go full time as an entrepreneur. Three and a half years later, McClerklin's Electrical Service is now one of the top ten electrical companies in the Midlands.
